Past and Present

This week we took the kids to explore the old brick kilns on Highway 278. They found a lot of interesting ways to photograph the history of their region. They also continued to photograph each other — friends are an integral part of their community — and themselves, proving for an interesting mix of past and present.

Karlie Bishop
The picture relates to me by how different I look in the mornings than I do in the afternoon.

Kiersten Brose
The picture of the gate makes me think of entering a new land, and being able to explore a new place.

Morgan Clark
This picture shows a road. I chose this because I really enjoy the lighting and perspective.

Joseph Edwards
I also took the picture of Jeremiah to show what the people a long time ago had to ride to get from one toward the next.

Jeremiah McDonald
I climbed the pole for the fun of it.

Alexis Nagel
I chose this picture because it shows how society and nature combine.

Kaila Rife
The eye in this photo only show the reflection of the camera, not showing who the photo’s of, or anything else happening other than in the eye’s mirror.

Alyssa Sherritt
The picture of Elijah and I represents that you can take some time to have fun in life, enjoy your friends and make memories with the ones you care about. I wanted to take the picture because Elijah felt like being funny and wanted to make a funny face so I took the picture.
